Dear Jeff_999, It is my opinion that a defense must be eloquent or powerful. It is not otherwise a mandate. It is not hard to reconcile eloquence with inability.

Maybe "eloquent/powerful" defense indicates "putting forward false testimony". I got you point. Thank you. I just failed to understand the construction of the sentence in the first place. I didn't know the two things to be reconciled are "attorney's duty" and "mandate".

was just wondering.. what's that u guys look at .. when u try to complete a sentence.. I normally follow my instict.. If I just feel this is right.. i try to stick to it..

Well, no rule of the thumb I'm afraid... It's the logical relationship between the stated and the offered words. But maybe logic may be a rule of the thumb?
