Seems or seems to be, please help..
Hi cynt here..
I would like to ask something.. which one is correct in the following sentences : (i am not even sure if I can call them a sentence)..
1. The aircon seems very cold
2. The aircon seems to be very cold.
When to put/remove "to be"?
I joined this forum to improve myself in english..
Any help would be appreciated.

I would say "The aircon seems to be very cold" is correct. And it really depends on the way you are constructing the sentence whether "to be" would come or not.

Aircon is the short term for airconditioning. Some people I know from other place they use AC. But in Singapore they commonly use the term aircon.. as for Japan.. I am not sure.
