SAT Vocabulary

Despite research that points to the lack of usefulnes of teaching 30 words a week of words the children will never use, I am forced to give my AP students lists of SAT words each week. What is a useful, purposeful, challenging and maybe even fun way to do it, so they don't fight it?

What are you doing now? Having them memorize the list? Memorize definitions? Use them in sentences? How old are the children? Why will they never use these words?
