Thanks for your advice, khoff, but I know the difference for myself , I just asked which one is the most common word in the US.

In the U.S. we say "rubber band" rather than "elastic band." (As for the rest, asking which is the most common word is a bit like asking "which is the more common word, "blue" or "green"?" They all mean different things! I suppose you might say that "rubber band" is probably the most common, because all sorts of people use rubber bands. Only people with long hair use the others.)
