This is an excerpt from an interview to Prince William talking about his involvement in charities. The underlined bit is the part I find it difficult to understand. Some guidelines explain that it should mean something like 'being actively involved, participating ' . However I find the whole period a bit confusing. Can I have your opinion on that?
