Return to tumble?
He devoted several pages to curing syphilis with guaiacum wood, concluding that
"it is certain that it healeth most perfectly ... except the sicke man doe returne to
tumble in the same bosome."
It's really hard for me to understand the underlined part.
It may be paraphrased into "except the sick man does return to tumble
in the same bosom"? Even so I don't know what 'return to tumbe' and 'in the same bosom'
mean.
Any help will be appreciated!
