Relative clause

“ stay with them who wants you to stay” . It seems incorrect to me.Instead of “them” we can use “those“ ; the verb should be “ want“ as it has plural subject.

Am i right ?

Yes.

Where did you find this? You know, it may be a writer's attempt to show a regional dialect, so it may be necessary to write it that way to remain faithful to the story the writer is telling.

I understand that as "stay with him/her who wants you to stay (with them)".
