Question about use of skype states

Hi everybody,

I would like to ask about somebody's skype habits. Could I ask the following?


'Do you use skype states according to their functionality?'


(so he is away when skype shows the state 'away' at him, he is available when skype shows the state 'available' at him, etc.)


If it is not good (or there is a better version), how could I ask about it?
