Question about directions for synonyms

Hi Teachers,Could you tell if these directions are right? How about punctuation?Student: Synonyms for ‘slowly’ are ‘little by little’ and ____________.Solution: Synonyms for ‘slowly’ are ‘little by little’ and gradually.Thanks in advance

Hi,
I see no *directions to comment on. I think, however, it would be more elegant if you changed the word order thus:
‘Gradually’ and ‘little by little’ are synonyms for ‘slowly’.
‘Gradually’ and ‘little by little’ are synonymous with ‘slowly’.

*As for directions, you could simply say: ‘Fill in the blanks’.

Yo are right there are no directions to comment on. So sorry, today I'm doing quite a few things at the same time.

The sentence I wanted to rewrite, the one you have helped me, is from a Crossword Puzzle and the thing is that I didn't like the way the clue was presented for number 10. That's why I've asked.

This is the way they are written in the book:

1.-	You need to feel very ______ about learning English.
2.-	It is ______, or normal, to make errors, when you learn a second language.
4.-	Your ______, or accomplishments, will help you feel more comfortable.
9.-	Your pen is ______ her desk.
10.-	Slowly; little by little.
11.-	It is important to ______ English every day.
16.-	You ______ learn English!

This is how it will look like after your help. Much better indeed!

10.-	‘Slowly’ and ‘little by little’ are synonyms for ‘____________’.

The word the students have to find is 'gradually'.
