Question about directions for synonyms

Hi Teachers,
Could you tell if these directions are right? How about punctuation?
Student: Synonyms for ‘slowly’ are ‘little by little’ and ____________.
Solution: Synonyms for ‘slowly’ are ‘little by little’ and gradually.

Hi, I see no * directions to comment on. I think, however, it would be more elegant if you changed the word order thus: ‘Gradually’ and ‘little by little’ are synonyms for ‘slowly’. ‘Gradually’ and ‘little by little’ are synonymous with ‘slowly’.

I see no *directions to comment on. I think, however, it would be more elegant if you changed the word order thus:
‘Gradually’ and ‘little by little’ are synonyms for ‘slowly’.
‘Gradually’ and ‘little by little’ are synonymous with ‘slowly’.

*As for directions, you could simply say: ‘Fill in the blanks’.
