Hi,
I am trying to figure out the differences between quatrain and stanza...
[1] "Quatrain" can mean either a COMPLETE poem of four lines, or a four-line stanza?
"Stanza" is never used to designate a complete poem, is it? Stanza is always only a part/segment of a poem?
[2] "Quatrain" (as its name implies) always consists of four line. (Y/N?)
"Stanza" can consist of how many lines? two? four? and even more than four?
[3] Looks like the term "quatrain poem" is narrower than "stanza poem" (in case [2] holds true ) ?

A stanza is a cohesive segment of a poem which is set apart. A quatrain is a 4-line stanza. That should answer all of your questions.
