Do-It-Yourself Puppetry classes, one of the five areas in the Puppetry Art Center of Taipei, interests me the most. We had a do-it-yourself class of doing special puppetries there. There were two instructors teaching us how to fabricate the puppetry. After they showed us a model, they gave us the materials and then explained the moves in doing a puppetry. I followed their demonstration to do. It takes deft fingers and patience to finish making a puppetry figure which is a work of great originality. At the last working procedure, it needed putting some ornaments to make the puppetry vivid. I was awkward to decorate it. However, it was fun to make it. In the long run, everybody presented his own work and put them together on a desk. Each puppetry had its own distinguishing feature. It was a wonderful experience.
