Punctuating a tricky piece of dialogue

Hi everyone. I'm having trouble punctuating the following piece of dialogue.

He turned to Peter and said, 'Yes, in fact I do,' and then, turning to his daughter, 'Come on, let's go home'

Does this seem OK to everyone? Is it OK to capitalize the "Come on" when there's no preceding speech tag? Or should I be doing something with em dashes:

He turned to Peter and said, 'Yes, in fact I do' -- and then, turning to his daughter -- 'come on, let's go home.'

If so, should I be putting a period after the "do" and capitalizing the "Come on" , like this:

He turned to Peter and said, 'Yes, in fact I do.' -- and then, turning to his daughter -- 'Come on, let's go home.'

Any advice would be very much appreciated. Oh, and please don't give any suggestions about re-phrasing. I'm interested in knowing how to punctuate this specific example.
