How does personality differ from temperament?

Top answer

Personality is something we all have. It distinguishes us from others. Usually, I hear ‘pleasant personality’, meaning easy to get along with, polite, kind.

Temperament has more to do with one’s patience and mood. Usually we hear negative modifiers with temperament. Short-tempered, agitated, moody, abrupt come to mind.
