Hi,
If you could explain to what extent "properly" and "as such" are interchangeable in the following context?
EX:
(1) This interface is used to control different ABC-driven external modules and the ABC system PROPERLY
(2) This interface is used to control different ABC-driven external modules and the ABC system AS SUCH.
(3) This interface is used to control different ABC-driven external modules and the ABC system ITSELF.
Which of the variants above are OK?
If none makes sense to you, could you please give me a refined example?

My only comment is that 'as such' means 'strictly, solely'—so I don't see a similarity in meanings.

No. 'Properly' means 'correctly'. I suppose you intend 'Proper': then they would be nearer synonymy. 'Itself' carries tones of 'without help' or 'and nothing else'.
