Proper order of earned degrees, licenses, etc.
Hi,
I graduated with a BSN in nursing in 1982 and still hold that licensure and work in nursing. I then graduated with an MS in Community Counseling in 2006 and hold a national certification (NCC). I have found conflicting info about the order. In general it's least to highest, but I read that if you hold a licence to list that last. Please clarify! Would it be BSN, RN, MS, NCC or MS, NCC, BSN, RN?? or something else altogether!? Thanks!

Hi Barbara: Since you found conflicting information (I assume you consulted authorities in your field), there is no set rule. Personally, I would select the one to put last as the one you want people to notice and remember the most. It stands out more than being buried in a long (and impressive) list.
