Proper listing of two titles in a name
What is the correct way to display a name when you have an academic title and an elected title in your name (example person is an elected mayor who is also a Ph.D.)?

If I had to say both, I'd probably say 'Mayor Mary Smith, Ph.D.'
However, in my opinion such a person would just use 'Mayor Mary Smith' in public life, since politicians, at least in N. America,
