Proofread ---is there a noun usage?
My dictionary says the word 'proofread' is only used as a verb.
e.g., someone proofreads something
To me, it looks like it can be used as a noun too. Do you use it as a noun? e.g., Could you just give me a quick proofread for the composition below please?

But my understanding is that most newspapers today employ no or few proofreaders, in order to reduce costs. That's why there are so many errors in newpapers.
