Of valor and courage I am called

The unknown awaits but fear can be stalled

In order to serve, protect, and defend

For this is my calling and my mission.

The uniform, badge, and gun that I wear

Readies my response and resolve to prepare

To respond to whatever the reason

For this is my calling and my mission.

Another career I could not select

Justice called me and I cannot forget

Those whose safety is my dominion

For this is my calling and my mission.

Should I be bound for the ultimate sacrifice

To maintain innocence, liberty and life

That, I will do with full submission

For this is my calling and my mission.

To valor and courage I answer the call,

In great humility and dedication enthrall

With God’s help and great provision,

For this is my calling and my mission.
