Please tell me if it's correct

Can I write "requisitioning a new checkbook"? or in a sentence, "I am writing to inform you about the disappointing service I have had while requisitioning a new checkbook".

Yes, that's correct. But more natural is this. eg "I am writing to inform you about the disappointing service I have received while requesting / ordering a new checkbook".

To my mind, "requisition" means to seek authorization to buy.
