According to grammatical books, performative verbs are almost used in present simple.

For example: I deny stealing those book.

However, what is not correct with the sentence "I'm denying stealing those books." I feel that it has a full meaning too.

The first meaning I assign to this sentence is

I'm going to deny stealing those books.

In the sense of I deny stealing those books, it's rather weak. Denials are more forceful than that.
