Please comment on my Salary Increment Letter

Dear Sir,
With all due respect, I humbly like to bring a request for salary increment. As of date I work for our esteemed company since June 2007 as a Graphic Designer with all my earnest sincerity. Now I am getting RM, 000.00 as my monthly salary.
As you are aware, cost of living has become too high with the price increase of petrol and food provision, really has put a strain in my earnings and my salary not enough to full fill my livelihood here and my family. I believe that that I have done my job well to the best of my ability & my skills are improved in the above mentioned time. I am prepared to take more responsibility should I be expected to. I will continue to be the valued, hard working, committed, reliable and honest employee as I’ve always been.
Sir, on this matter, may I request of salary increase of RM300.00/month to lessen the burdens of my daily expenses.
