Please clarify..

"She is one of a select few practitioners who have extensive knowledge and ........ "

.........

In the above is it grammatically correct to say as " one of a select"? If not would appreciate the correct wording.

That doesn't seem the correct placement of the adjective 'select'. I'd say / write "She is one of a few select practitioners who have...".

'one of a select few' is a standard phrase in American English, as 'Hillary Clinton is one of a select few former First Ladies who ran for national political office and lost.'
