Placing of "one day" at the start or end of the sentence
Hi,
The sentence stated below is used as a start for a story.
A caravan of 500 carts travelling across countries to sell goods one day came to a thick forest.
However, is the sentence fine? Or should I placed the "One day" at the start of the sentence or end of the sentence as follow:
One day, a caravan of 500 carts travelling across countries to sell goods came to a thick forest.
OR
A caravan of 500 carts travelling across countries to sell goods came to a thick forest one day.
Which one is correct? Pls advise.

Hi, The traditional way to start a story like this is to put 'One day' at the front. It sounds a little odd to me to say 'across countries'. I'd say 'through various countries'.
