Is a tense correct in the above sentence? I thought a past tense was appropiate.

First, you know that whichever tense you use, it's not a complete sentence? Also, enrolled is not necessarily a reflexive verb - you can simply enroll in a class or a program, you don't have to enroll yourself. " It's clearly anwering the question "when" so you don't need to include it.
