Please correct my sentence :
"Thanks once again, your feedback had helped me a great deal."
or does this sound better? : "Thanks once again, your feedback helped me a great deal."
(the feedback i am writing about had an influence on my current work)

Just an aside - your two original options are examples of the "grammatical error" known as a "comma splice," in which the two separate sentences (GG's example) are joined together by a comma alone, instead of a comma and a conjunction. (Actually, in this case there's no appropriate conjunction, so you must use two separate sentences - or possibly a semi colon.)

I corrected that by placing the period and the required capital letter to start the second sentence in bold. I don't see what you mean about my example showing them being joned by a comma.
