Hi! I wrote a sentence and am not sure if it is grammatically correct or not.
However, a number of studies have shown that 65% of the gym memberships have been cancelled after 3 months since 2002 in the UK where building sports facilities were the government policy for the last two decades.
and can I use 'was cancelled' instead of 'have been cancelled' in the sentence?
