That could mean a lot of different things. This really needs lots of context.

I guess you mean concepts within the mind; not concepts about the mind.

If you conceive that 2 + 2 = 4, that would probably be an example of a mental concept which didnt't have a corresponding physiological response.

If you see a rhinoceros charging you and you conceive fear (in your mind), there would be a whole series of physiological responses, starting with the release of certain enzymes into your blood stream to put your systems into emergency mode.

I suppose if you want to consider "fear" a mental concept, you would have to consider it a learned behavior (as opposed to an instinct).

In this case, you're probably talking about a causal relationship between the mental concept and the physiological response. But your sentence doesn't say that.

Maybe you could say, "Certain types of thoughts cause your body to react automatically in certain ways."
