On/in

Question

Please help!!  How can I use on/in? Sample: I have a question "on or in" number 25. And: I'm working "on or in" case study number 1.  I'm really confused, please help.

I have a question on number 25.

Hmm, preposition is always a problem to non-native speakers

. Because sometimes it is really hard to give good explanation on it. And many times different argument may result in different understanding of it

Imagine you got a sticker with the word ' question ' in it and paste it on ' number 25 '

. Then it will be ' on ' number 25.

' working in ' only can be found if you are inside a building or a space yourself. So, if you are trying to tackle a problem, you work ' on ' it.

Hah, this is my understanding of these two preposition, I can be wrong though since I am also from the Orient
