Of "versus" from?
I would like to know when to use "of" and "from" in news writing.
For example, which of these two sentences is correct:
-The victim was identified by the Texas Department of Public safety as 68-year-old John Miller of Amarillo, Texas.
or
-The victim was identified by the Texas Department of Public safety as 68-year-old John Miller from Amarillo, Texas.
Thank you in advance for your help.
