Noun usage

Hi, I was just wondering, is it okay to refer to the same "things" with various different nouns, or is it potentially confusing? In an article, I referred to Ed Gein's "creations" as not only creations, but "objects", "art" and "items".

This resulted in a “woman suit” so that he could, as Katherine Ramland described it “become his mother” and “literally crawl into her skin”, and a house filled with other extremely disturbing creations.
In the creation of his disturbing objects, Ed Gein surprisingly only carried out two murders, the rest of his ‘art’ (or whatever you want to call it) was the result of grave robbing.

I later say "his creations" and "these items".
