I found the following sentences hard to understand in a passage. Would you please help out?
... Well, he was with some woman, but she was anything but attractive. that's not nice to say- he could be a wonderful person- but then again a wonderful person wouldn't be with Greg....
My questions are: 1. For sure, "nothing but attractive" means that woman was not attractive. I know this one. 2. Does "That's not nice to say" mean it's not nice to talk about something? 3 he could be a wonderful person- what does that mean here?
Top answer
It is difficult to answer without more context. Here is my interpretation on the scanty text provided: 2. Does "That's not nice to say" mean it's not nice to talk about something?
