Not bad vs. not too bad
Hello,
If you ask someone "How are you?", what does it mean when that person says:
Not bad. -- Is this the same as saying "I'm good,"?
Not too bad. -- Does it mean he is not good, but not very bad?
Another one, if you ask someone, for example, "How was the movie?" and he replies:
Not cool. -- Is it the same as saying "It was bad,"?
Not so cool. -- Does it mean it wasn't a very good movie, but not bad?
By the way, can 'so' and 'too' be used interchangeably?
