Negotiable
Hi,
Question1:
Is the sentence polite and sensible?
Question2:
Is "negotiable" correctly used?
Sentence:
My expected salary is between $500 and $1000, and it is negotiable.
I want to say:
I am willing to accept a salary which is lower than my expected salary.
(However, I think it is a negative things for a cover letter, so I won't say this. Instead, I say "negotiable".)
I worry:
1) Since I have stated the expected salary, I am not sure whether it is sensible to say "it is negotiable".
2) The employer will think I will ask for a higher salary in the interview because I say "negotiable".
