negative form

Hey everyone,

I'm french and I have a little request because I'm not sure about something

I heard from my teacher that we should say :

I hardly lose a game , neither does my brother.

instead of :

I hardly lose a game , so does my brother.

But I was wondering about "rarely" , should we say :

I rarely lose a game , neither does my brother.

or :

I rarely lose a game , so does my brother.

I hope I was clear enough , thanks for any help.

On second thought, I'm not sure about rarely-- but 'and so' sounds odd too. Maybe another member will have a more definitive reference.

I think you need "neither".

I rarely lose a game and neither does my brother [rarely lose a game]
