need help !!!

I have applied to a research project where I was short listed. Then they make their final list of three candidates where my position was three. First two candidates were offered position and I have not offered any position. Yesterday I received an email from that organization that two selected candidates have withdrawn their applications and the department has decided to close the case without employing anyone in the position. So I am replying their email following way: (if you help to correct it grammatically and revise it and help to give the right style of writing this sort of email) :

Dear MF,

Thanks for letting me know the condition.
I am still interested in that position. I wanted to ask you that can I be considered if the department is going to employ some one in that position in near future since I made to the final poll of three candidates. Out of three candidates, two were selected by evaluation committee. As selected candidates have withdrawn their application, can I be considered for this position? I live in Bergen, and I am ready to join instantly.
I look forward to your reply.

Regards,
