NEARS or GET CLOSER
Can you tell me if these are correct?
- As the wedding day gets closer/nears, I feel more and more stressed.
- The nearer the wedding day gets/The closer the wedding day gets, the more stressed I feel/am.

- As the wedding day gets closer /nears , I feel more and more stressed. [either is ok, but I think "nears" sounds a little more archaic / old fashioned] - The nearer the wedding day gets/ The closer the wedding day gets, the more stressed I feel/am. "I feel" / "I am" are interchangable.
