It hardly matters. Both are in use. The Random House Unabridged Dictionary has no hyphen after multi in any word, but I think quite a few native speakers might prefer to use it.

It hardly matters. Both are in use. The Random House Unabridged Dictionary has no hyphen after multi in any word, but I think quite a few native speakers might prefer to use it. There appears to be a tendency to use a hyphen after some not so common prefixes borrowed from Latin no matter what dictionaries say. Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if someone found a dictionary that hyphenates
