Whether accurate or not, your comment does not justify your subject line (and in this group we prefer to retain reference to the prior subject if a new one is inserted). You are discussing a different dialect, not a mispronunciation. Would you accuse non-rhotic Brits (or, for that matter, non-rhotic Americans such as many Bostonians) of mispronouncing a word like "part" because they omit the "r" sound?
