I want to make a random argue that is of relative clause

Some teachers have taught me a small point in making relation related statements. For instance, after “,” you mustn’t write ‘that’ but there’re still people writting like this?

You are asking about essential (defining) or nonessential (non-defining) relative clauses.

Non-defining clauses are set off by commas. It is incorrect to set off defining relative clauses with commas.

Defining clauses are necessary for the meaning of the sentence. Here are some examples:

The house that my mother lived in when she was little burned down last week.
The book that I told you about costs $10.
My brother who lives in Toronto is getting married.

Non-defining clauses can be removed from the sentence. They only add additional information. Put commas around these clauses. Use "which", not "that."

My youngest brother Jim, who lives in Toronto, is getting married.
That little brown terrier, which is always digging under the fence and getting out, belongs to my neighbor.
