Morning
Morning
Blackbird’s having breakfast,
She’s sung herself hoarse, she rests.
Julie and the cat waking mum from her dream,
The dawn’s picked up its table, tea, toast, gin,
Sleepy school waits for students, maths, it’s clean,
Mouse shouting Here I am on a doorstep,
Shaving ***, Arab, Jew listen to rap,
In two we pick up granny, her hair’s sheen,
Stepping on it at the lamp as James Dean,
Blue-eyed girl singing, changing her O.b.,
Rising sun stroking the drowsy sea,
Homeless sobering up, steaming alcohol, sleeping pills.
Soldiers in lines starting their drills,
The first rays wake up a speck in the dust.
Bluebird, blackbird is having breakfast.

Top answer
Profound and quotidian. I like the rythm of it.
