How can I say "The sky is moonlit"?The fool moon was above the mountain. everywhere was light. The sky was also light and moonlit.

This is a clever touch, if you really meant it.

I think you meant "full moon", however.

"The sky is moonlit" is possible, but we usually don't use 'moonlit' in the predicate adjective position. At least, I'm not used to seeing it there. I usually see it just before the noun. A moonlit sky.

I would probably rewrite your descriptive passage in one of these ways:

Moonlight shone brightly above the mountain.
The mountain stood out against the bright, moonlit sky.
The mountain loomed ominous against the bright, moonlit sky.
The mountain was bathed in the bright light of a full moon.

It all depends on how poetic you want to be, on the exact mood you want to create, and how much relative prominence you want to give to either the mountain or the moon.
