In general, which one is a stronger assumption, would or should? Thanks.

It doesn't seem appropriate to classify modals by how strongly they assume (something). Are you sure that's what you mean? 'should' is a word we use to express obligation or duty.

'should' is a word we use to express obligation or duty. 'would' is a word that we use to express that the action is subject to condition(s ).

If I say "You should have another piece of cake", I'm saying what what I want you to do. I have no control over whe
