Mistake vs error

Hi.
What's the difference between a 'mistake' and an 'error'?

Thanks in advance!

In general speech, no difference really. Mistake is a more commonly used word. In English learning, a mistake could be a "slip of the tongue" an accident in speech that the learner didn't intend.

An error is when the learner doesn't have the knowledge yet to use the correct language.
