Misregard vs disregard

Hello All,

I was wondering if the word misregard is still used in today's English. Many dictionaries say that it's just an obsolete form of disregard. Does it mean that those two words used to be completely interchangeable?

I've never heard "misregard" being used, and as I'm typing this post, the browser editor has highlighted it in red! I suggest you disregard it and just use "disregard".
