Meanings of words in a legal document

Lets say I am interrested in a particular job offer. However I wish to accept the job only subject to certain 'terms and conditions' being accepted.

Q - What does 'terms' mean in this context.?

Hi, I'm not a lawyer, and there is very likely a legal definition of 'terms and conditions'. But in everyday English ithe phrase just means that you have certain requirements that you want the the employer to consent to. Clive
