Many university students live with their families, while others live away from home because of their universities are in different places. What are the advantages and disadvantages of both situations

It is true that some university students are able to live with families while others are forced to study away from home in order to pursue their own studies. There are both advantages and disadvantages in two situations.

On the one hand, if students can live with families, it has both benefits and drawbacks. Firstly, one major advantage is that they can economize. They do not have to worry about accommodation. Secondly, they can enjoy home comfort. For instance, they have their family support in terms of sharing food, heat cost, sharing rooms with sisters or brothers. However, living with family is disruptive for students who have to concentrate on their studies. They cannot have a dedicated space to keep up with a study schedule.

On the other hand, students living away from home have to face lots of challenges. One disadvantage is having to find good accommodation. Universities are often located in the major urban center, so rents are high if students want to find a room with basic facilities. However, there are some benefits. Students can have a chance to form friendships with other students who find themselves in the same situation. Students also escape the disruptions of family life and firm their confidence to encounter challenges. Last but not least, living away from home can help them to accomplish interpersonal skills. they can learn how to communicate with others naturally, work in a group or solve problems.

In conclusion, while clearly there are some differences in individual situations of university students, they can determine some potential advantages and disadvantages of living at home or living away from home.
