Dear Teachers,
1. My boyfriend always tells me that he doens't want to make waves 'cause right now he pays child support every week.
- "he doesn't want to make waves" means "he doesn't want to make further steps", right?
2. We have talked about getting marriage, and I know he has put money down on a ring for me.
- "put money down on a ring for me" means "use money to buy a ring for me", right?
