It was on the loo that I decided as I mused on worlds divided
I thought of life and former lovers and then my thoughts coalesced as I read DH lawrence so I guessed That girls I've loved were mirrors of me In each an aspect did I see
And so I thought now they have left me and modern dictate demands they be free from my mind and from my musing these parts of me I'm no longer using
And so exiled inside I am, First came joy she left me swift Then class, then style and intellect now all adrift.
In her I found the picture of a man A man I loved, a man I am But now she fled, that man should die and clinging me, screams why oh why!
So hear this tale and listen well we must make peace tho we don't dwell in lover's arms, safe from all harm to save our pictures and ourselves.

It is a beautiful poem. What a way to look at lovers and find yourself in them!
