LIVE UP TO
Dear Teachers,
1. My parents should realize that I can live up to some of their expectations.
- "live up to" here means "work out", right?
2. My parents should accept me for who I am.
- This means "My parents should accept me for what I've got or how my ability is", right?
3. When you're used to be opened up to your parents, it will help you open up to her, too.
- Why don't we say ".............to be open to your parents"?
4. My son! you're so naughty, and now you're grounded for 2 weeks.
- "You're grounded for 2 weeks" here means "you're not allowed to go out", right?
5. Whenever we meet, Lindsay and I don't feel comfortable anymore like before.
- Is this natural?
Thanks very much to Teachers,
Stevenukd.
