This sentence seems strange to me. I do not understand how the second part is conditioned by the first one. How can I rephrase it in a simpler, clearer way?

As Harley-Davidson fits into the lifestyle of a certain group of people and Prada shoes fit the lifestyle of another group, it is the lifestyle that came first.
